HW Animal Farm

Character
Napoleon- Napoleon is a pig who is the leader in Animal Farm. He is like dictator, and has 9dogs who threatens other animals in the Animal Farm. He is alike with Kim Joung Il, Hitler or Stalin. I don’t like him, because he’s like one of the bad dictator that I said in the above. Also he acts what he likes and he’s really similar to Hitler or Stalin.

Snowball- Snowball is another pig leader in Animal Farm. He is a true leader and work for Animal Farm passionately, but get banish from Napoleon. He’s like Trotsky or true communist, and he’s a hard worker. I don’t like him but don’t hate him, because I think being a Communist isn’t a good thing because I prefer working individually. However Snowball thinks about other animals well and understands them well.

Boxer- Boxer is a strong horse who works hardly for Animal Farm. However he’s stupid. He only listens and follow, but he likes to work for Animal Farm like Snowball. I like his attitude for Animal Farm, but I don’t like him when he only listens to pigs.

Squealer- Squealer is a pig that spreads Napoleon is always right. Because of him the animals in Animal Farm believes Napoleon is doing well in Animal Farm. I really hate him, because he’s so flatter and he only works for his own profit.

Other animals- There are other animals like Benjamin, Clover Mollie, Muriel and other animals. They all are similar to citizens in Communist countries. I don’t know I like them or not, but I feel sad for them.

Mr.Jones- He is an owner of Animal Farm but he gets drunk and lost his farm by animals. I think he represents a king in Russia before Communist occurs. I don’t like him because he doesn’t pay much attention to animals.

Climax
I think the climax is when Snowball gets banish from Napoleon. The reason is after getting banished the dictatorship begins and the Animal Farm becomes like present Communist countries like North Korea.

Mood
In the front part the mood of this book was bright and active. However after Snowball gets banish the mood became sad, painful and dark. Also it’s make me sorry for them.
Setting
The meaningful setting in this book is Animal Farm, because its represents the communist countries. It is also meaningful to me, because I live in South Korea and our neighbor country is North Korea which is Communist country. So it makes me feel it isn’t their problem, it makes me it’s our problem too.

Relationship with World
This book has relationship with Communist countries. This book tells us that how communist live and how they are getting deceive by the leader. The situation in this book is very similar to North Korea, because Kim Jung Il is like Napoleon and he gets admire by the citizens, but they both act bad and deceive citizens. Because of these reasons this book has relationship with world.

Theme
The theme in this book is don’t thrust anyone and be aware about the truth. By thrusting one person the whole animal suffers in hunger and not having freedom. If they keep Snowball in Animal Farm they might live happy than us , but by believing one person they ruined themselves.

Quote
The quote that is significant to me is “Four legs good, two legs bad.” The reason is by keeping this in their mind, they became prideful and they think they are better than human. However because they think they are the best they became like Hitler and Nazi, and because of that they don’t think other life isn’t important. So this quote was most significant to me.

My feeling
After I read this I felt sorry to the animals. Because of the pig they had to suffer the hard labors and hunger. I felt sad too, because these animals represents the people in communist countries.
They have to suffer the hard labors and hunger too. I also felt angry because other animals work for the farm but the pig tooks the money they earned and spent the money for the pig's entertainment. And this pig represents the dictator in communist countries, so it makes me mad and angry. I enjoyed this book but little bit sad to me.

These need to be separate posts. Good ideas but do not meet the post length rubric. Mrs.Mc.
